McInnis Cement Announces the Appointment of Florence Gauthier as Information Officer

Port Daniel – Gascons, Wednesday, August 6^th 2014 – McInnis Cement announces the hiring of Florence Gauthier as Information Officer. Ms Gauthier will assume her position at Port Daniel – Gascons on August 18^th 2014.

A resident of Paspébiac, Florence Gauthier holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Organizational Communications and has more than 30 years of experience in the communication field.

Extensively involved in community affairs, Ms Gauthier is well known in the Gaspé region.

“Florence Gauthier was chosen following a rigorous hiring process during which 15 candidates were interviewed out of 40 applications. Ms Gauthier’s qualifications speak for themselves, and I am confident that she will exercise her new responsibilities with professionalism. I warmly welcome her into our team,” stated Christian Gagnon, President and Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to her responsibilities for the company’s in Port-Daniel-Gascons Information Center, Ms Gauthier will act as the media contact for the company. Beginning in late August, members of the media may contact her directly for information about the cement plant.

Florence Gauthier takes over from Emilie McInnis who had assumed the position in the interim and who has elected to return to a full time teaching position. McInnis Cement sincerely thanks Ms McInnis for her good and loyal services.
